The first thing to say is that this is a broad and generic purpose book. It is really difficult to find an aspect related to visionary cacti that is not covered in this manual. Thus, throughout its different sections, we find information about cultivation, about pests, irrigation and cuttings, about the traditional use of cacti, about their arrival in the West with the first psychonautical experiments, an extensive guide to varieties of psychoactive cacti little known until now (illustrated with magnificent images), or information about the legal status of cacti in Spain, and a guide with tips for psychonauts.

In any case, the purpose of the essay is not to address the topics in depth; as mentioned in various parts of the book, to find more information on one topic or another, the reader should refer to more specialized reference works. Even so, the information given on each topic is more than enough to satisfy readers who are not super-specialized, and even for 'experts' to find the odd tip and piece of information they had missed. The most comprehensive sections of the book are those on cultivation, as well as an extensive list of 'new' psychoactive cacti varieties (beyond the popular peyote or San Pedro cactus) .
