Entada rheedii seeds originally come from trees and shrubs growing near Durban (South Africa) as far north as tropical Africa and India, Asia and Australia. The seeds fall from the mother plant into the waters of canals and rivers, and are carried by currents to the oceans. They stay afloat due to the air reservoir inside the seed.
