Nicotiana Rustica 20 seeds
Nicotiana rustica is considered a sacred plant throughout the Amazon rainforest, where it is known as "mapacho" and is used as an offering to the spirits. It is a beautiful plant that is quite easy to grow.
Normally it is thought that tobacco is not capable of inducing visions, however it was used intensively by indigenous groups. They considered it to be the shamanic intoxicant par excellence.
This species of tobacco is one of the strongest in existence, even its alkaloid content is much higher than Nicotiana tabacum. It was used exclusively for its energetic power, smoked during Ayahuasca ceremonies or added to the prepared drink.
Undoubtedly this plant was one of the most used allied plants by the American shamans.
Cultivation: It is best to sow in spring. Let the seeds germinate in a small pot in some soil covered with a bag.
Germinate in 10-20 days. Nicotianaplants should be transplanted when very small, within a week after germination. If you transplant later, the taproot could be damaged, this will result in very poor and slow growth for the life span of the plant. Repot young plants to a larger pot. For best results, large amounts of fertilizer and plenty of space for their rootsare required, but they can also grow successfully in 20 cmpots. Then they should be placed in a sunny and warm place. The plant blooms in summer and can be harvested in early autumn.
The plant grows up to one meter annually and produces several daughter plants, from which the larger leaves can be cut off, resulting in smaller leaves and a higher proportion of alkaloids. If you want the seeds, allow the plant to flower.
Warm, dry climates allow for a higher concentration of alkaloids and greater plant height.
