Expanded clay 10L
Expanded clay is a porous substrate ideal for hydroponic cultivation (suitable for recirculation) and to place the bottom of your pots and prevent the roots from waterlogging.
It is composed of clay aggregated into balls of between 8 and 16 mm.
The internal structure is porous, absorbing and releasing water with nutrients according to the needs of the plant.
It is clean, does not decompose and is free of diseases and parasites.
It has a stabilized pH between 5.5 and 6.5, which makes it an excellent support for hydroculture.
It can also be mixed with other substrates. Expanded clay does not absorb water for a long time, which means that in hydroponic cultivation it does not have a very high safety coefficient in case the timer or irrigation pump fails.
Soak the expanded clay in the nutrient solution 24 hours before transplanting to stabilize the pH.
